I attended Victoria from 2018-2019, the cheer instructors are incredibly emotionally and physically abusive towards children. I was physically assaulted by one of the instructors mid February 2018 at the high school cheerleading world championships in Orlando, Florida. The incident was promptly covered up and the instructors still work there. Strongly recommend you send your children elsewhere.

My trans son was very excited to attend this school 2 years ago as it had a great reputation for the arts and inclusivity. Those days appear to be gone. Vaping, drug use and stealing is rampant among the student population and my son was bullied mercilessly because he refused to join in with the illegal acts. Even the teachers bullied the kids in their classrooms, calling them stupid, brain dead or having the brain of a goldfish. When I called the Principal to complain about this teacher, he excused her behaviour "because she's pregnant" and "she'll be off on maternity leave soon". This school is not what it used to be.

Caring teachers and staff, excellent arts programs and resources, lots of options to choose from. Especially for students looking to work in the arts, the learning experiences they have available here are impressive.

I learned from another parent that Victoria may be the only school that offers IB programming at the elementary level.

Not the most competitive school sports-wise, but they do instill a lifelong love of physical activity and community through sport, with special attention to achieving your personal best.

A few issues with bullying over the years, but they were dealt with quickly and fairly. Very inclusive, with opportunities for students to participate in and lead clubs at all levels, from elementary to high school.

Overall, very glad to have this school in our neighbourhood.

Vic is overrated. They don't have anything there that another school can't offer you. Said they pride themselves on community, yet there was little events going on and the school is very clique-y. If you haven't been there since kindergarten, good luck making friends. According to a couple others who are previous graduates of Vic, its been this way for decades. Apparently, theyre also infamous for nepotism and accepting bribery.
Their productions are top-notch, though.

Discrimination and unfair preferential placement is practiced by school administration and staff. They select only their friends and acquaintances. The reviewing of application is just a bullshit to show that the school is professional. Unethical practices and bribes are considered by school staff at Victoria school of art. Beware parents and guardians!

spent a year here for my 12th grade, teachers are nice and they all seem really happy to teach and my grades were the highest they ever been, but school is insanely divided, if ur not able to associate urself with a clique, ur gonna have a hard time socializing. I wasn't artsy either and I did fine

I have went here for 7 years from kindergarten and loved it up until grade 4. I loved all my teachers in every grade but in a while things started to change and I was getting bullied and teachers were still always taking sides and to me that should not be ok. I still have friends but it was unsafe. We had threats and and multiple fights and vandalism in the washrooms and always had family’s complaining and canceling field trips just cause one or two families had a small problem. No disrespect to this school. Teachers were still nice and there is so many things to do. But when you see how kids are swearing by grade 3 or 4 just did not feel right to me I moved schools and I have heard 1 or 2 swears as with Vic I heard too many to count by the day . The school also is more focused on LGBT and taking it over school time by making it a thing we’re we learn about it starting at a young age. But I still love how many opportunities you can find at Vic.
